 "Strength”

Besides a young pessimist, the saddest sight I can observe in this peculiar world is the wasted potential of the people in it. Everyone treats life as if it goes on forever and then winds-up reflecting in their old age-- suddenly aghast and overwhelmed with grief at the reality of what they have accomplished in comparison to what they could’ve done. Unfortunately, life is half over before most people really know how to play the game. Well, the ones who really have perfected the art of life are absolutely successful; I know this to be true. Any successful person that you can imagine is likely to know the secret to success although it's not as much as secret as it is 'advice-untaken'. Even I know what it is, although I've yet to accomplish my dreams, I still understand that I’m a young success in-progress because of my mentality—I say that with the most modest of all possible intents. The simple truth is that there is nothing that is going to stop me from achieving success because when hurricane-like adversity weathers my resolve to the bone is when my character and perseverance will truly bare all and shine bright.

People don't believe in themselves
I know I’m going to succeed and accomplish my epic dreams because nobody is going to stop me; I simply won't allow them to. I won’t stop them from trying to block me either, but as I will be looking at my goals, I will not see them in their futile efforts to bring me down. It’s a sad time for the earth because so many in the world do not share my beliefs. Maybe I can give some of those people some advice that I intend to give many people later in life. “If you don’t know where you are going in life, you are not going to get there.” People, you have to dedicate your life to something and pursue it like you only get one chance. Although you may fail and triumph like a beating heart, you only get one chance so you have to thrive no matter what.

The best way to make your chance count is to be in the right place at the right time. Read Jpinions IV, Chance; it’s not as light of a read as this daily thought, but it can more accurately describe what I’m trying to say about how to improve your life. You have to make your own life important or else you simply are not living. If your life consists mainly of inactivity, like in a grave; then truly he did in life as he does in death.


Briefly on happiness

I have one last thought that I’ll leave you with and that is that happiness is a direction that your life heads in. Happiness is not something that you should aim to achieve by performing tasks of life, that is a fool's errand because you'll never obtain happiness. Happiness is a state of mind. Discontentment is a mere discomfort so overpower it; let it go- be happy. Just be.

Essentially, if the birds wake-up daily, happy and singing, then why can’t you? Too often people let life happen to them instead of going out and happening to life, then, as described earlier they ultimately wallow in misery. Newsflash: Wallowing in misery takes the same amount of energy as being happy-- the only difference is the direction of the focus. Focus your energy, be in control. An untamed mind inflicts all sorts of diseases.

                                    "Curiosity Killed the Cat and the Cat Killed Curiosity"                by JlB

Throughout my life whenever someone would advance towards me and “quick-wittedly” (or mindlessly) repeat the cliché, “Curiosity killed the cat.” The philosopher within me would quickly respond, “Yes, but if the death of one cat could stop the countless slaughtering of thousands of others—I would be that cat.” This is no longer true, however. 

Now I respond to the aforementioned by saying, “But, the death of that cat has frightened the majority of the people; now they do not actively pursue thought, learning or curiosity. Instead they are domesticated, scared and stupid (or merely unenlightened, at the least). I, then, strengthen that statement by reiterating that I am not victim to this belief. Alive and happy, I’ve been curious about everything from light sockets to fast moving cars-- the only thing that died was the curiosity itself as this was replaced by knowledge. 
 Curiosity asks questions, curiosity establishes growth; Curiosity is the name of the desire to know. Knowing is deadly because it takes power away from those who know. So curiosity in common-people is to be suppressed by those in control. 

As Adolf Hitler said, “What luck for rulers that men do not think.”

Succinctly, if you teach a student a lesson for a day, he will learn the lesson for a day; if you teach a student how to learn through curiosity, he will learn for a lifetime. His quest for thought will lead him to peer into hell and not be afraid; it will lead him to the desert to analyze sand to know what it’s made of; it will lead him to the arctic to study ice to find out what’s in it. It will not lead him to death, however, unless it was the curiosity of death that drove him there.

(part II) “The Death of Curiosity”

Potentially, a group of conspirators have been attempting to murder a part of your mind. 

You should be a little curious about this, but you’re probably not. That’s because your curiosity's death is already in its happening. Basically, it’s as if your mind has a cancer that afflicts your brain's center for curiosity. The constantly evolving cancer— that is, the power that is out of your control— will grow with time and eventually overcome you. Although it will not kill you, it will most-definitely tame you in the truest possible sense of the term. There is no doubt; you will undergo domestication until the powers that run daily-life in your world can manipulate your thoughts and then ultimately shut them off.

This is the death of curiosity. 

The molding of our minds has been taking place ever since we first started thinking above each other back in primitive times.This is because when some of us humans first started educating others, the power that was automatically imbued into the teacher was enough to warrant the attempted murdering of curiosity. Because then, the more we allowed our minds to be molded is the less actual 'thought' that humans would ever exhibit— which, in turn, is the more power that those in control maintain to suppress the populus. This concept can be described by an example in history because it is similar to how the Church in archaic times wouldn’t allow people to read the Bible (so they could mercilessly tax citizens since nobody could question why they were being taxed).

 In present day, the people who do the most curiosity-killing and mind-molding are the people who value self-interest over most anything else. This includes a majority of: politicians, corporate entities, and essentially anyone (company, person or organization) that saturates the minds of the common man with clichés that preclude actual thought because they (the clichés) are so easily repeated that the concept of thought becomes a task that the common man simply does not want to bear.

So the death of your curiosity means that you will not stir dissent in yourself or others by asking one simple, deadly, question, which is, “Why?” 

Prepare to be duped by all powers that be, but don't prepare to ask why, because remember my friends-- Curiosity killed the cat.
